Just as You Planned
Since 1988, ideCAD has developed AEC software to help architects and structural engineers bring their plans to life through integrated building design.
1988
Founding and First Release
- ideCAD Software (ideYAPI) is founded in Bursa, Turkey.
- Releases ideCAD Structural V1, providing reinforced concrete structural design and analysis capabilities.
1996
Architectural Design and Integration
- Launch of ideCAD Architectural v1, introducing BIM-based architectural modeling.
- Introduction of the Integrated Design System (IDS): seamless structural and architectural data exchange between modules.
2002
IFC 1.5.1 Certification Achieved
- ideCAD becomes IFC 1.5.1 certified for both import and export, demonstrating compliance with OpenBIM standards and ensuring interoperability with global AEC platforms like Revit, ArchiCAD, Tekla, and others.
- Certification enables ideCAD users to:
- Share models across platforms seamlessly
- Participate in OpenBIM-based collaborative workflows
2004
Real-Time Collaboration
- Release of ideCAD Team, enabling real-time multi-user collaboration over LAN or the internet.
- ideCAD Wrep 5 allows web-based documentation sharing.
- ideCAD ODT introduces customizable components for stairs, roofs, doors, etc.
2006
International Expansion
- ideCAD opens its first international office in Hannover, Germany, extending its reach into European markets.
2018
Compliance with Turkey's 2018 Earthquake Code (TBDY 2018)
- The release of ideCAD Structural IDS v10, with full support for the TBDY 2018 Turkish Seismic Code, has made it the first local BIM platform to do so.
2020
Global Recognition with 25,000+ Users
- The release of ideCAD Structural IDS v10, with full support for the TBDY 2018 Turkish Seismic Code, has made it the first local BIM platform to do so.
2021
2021 – U.S. Code Support (IBC, ASCE, UBC)
- ideCAD integrates support for key U.S. structural and seismic design codes:
- IBC (International Building Code)
- UBC (Uniform Building Code)
- ASCE 7 (Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures)
- This opens the door for North American engineers and architects to use ideCAD in code-compliant design workflows.
2022
Indonesia (SNI 1726)
- ideCAD integrates SNI 1726, Indonesia's national seismic design code.
- Includes modeling and design capabilities that align with Indonesian requirements for reinforced concrete, steel, and seismic detailing.
2023
Thailand Building Codes
- Added support for Thailand's seismic design codes and load requirements.
- Engineers in Thailand can now use ideCAD for performance-based seismic design and code-compliant detailing.
2024
ideCAD Software Manila Opened and NSCP 2015 Support Developed
- ideCAD Software Manila began operations to support ideCAD’s activities in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
- NSCP 2015 structural analysis and design capabilities were developed, strengthening ideCAD Structural’s support for local engineering requirements and building codes in the Philippines.
